Job Search and Referral

Employment is a critical component to successful recovery. Many of our clients have to learn the concept of contributing to their own financial independence. To help clients we assist them by identifying job sources and providing referral contacts. We also have relationships with organizations who can help our clients with job applications and resume writing.

Dual Diagnosis

Dual Diagnosis refers to any individual who suffers with both chemical dependency and other dual disorders. Some examples of other psychological problems include depression, bipolar illness and anxiety. Psychological research indicates that 40% to 70% of individuals seeking chemical dependency treatment also have a dual diagnosis.
Due to the high prevalence of dual diagnosis most chemical dependency programs find it necessary to address these problems. Expedition House is no exception. We acknowledge the tremendous value of medical management and psychotherapy for dual disorders. We work closely with allied health professionals and help client’s get access to their private insurance or assist with referrals to their community whenever needed.

Financial Assistance

Financial problems are usually at the fore of chemical dependency treatment. That is, invariably many clients have gotten themselves into problems with money. As a result, they may not have the financial where-with-all to pay for treatment. Expedition House can make recommendations for clients looking for creative solutions to their financial problems. We can put clients in touch with a financial representative to explore funding options.

Sober Living

Sober living offers many advantages and is a very affordable and often preferred modality to traditional institutional care. Sober living provides just such supportive environments. Our homes are large, clean and centrally located in North Orange County. Combined with formal chemical dependency treatment they offer a very cost-effective treatment option.

Drug and Alcohol Toxicology

In addition to use of alcohol bracelet and drug patch technology we also make use of other more “standardized” testing including urine analysis and breathalyzer to ensure all clients adhere to our zero tolerance policies.
