Chemical Dependency Residential Treatment Program
The Residential Treatment Program is designed primarily for clients who need a very high degree structure and maintenance to prevent continued use. Clients are temporarily removed from their home environment. Care is continuous for 30-days from the date of entry, and can be extended as needed. Care is monitored 24-hours a day 7 days a week and guided by caring professionals. The treatment environment is more like that of home than institution, which helps the client adjust to their new surroundings. Residential Treatment operates 7 days a week with 24-hour supervision.

Chemical Dependency Monitored Work Release Program
The Monitored Work Release Program is designed primarily for clients who need both a high degree of structure and are gainfully employed. Clients are temporarily removed from their home environments, living at Expedition House and receiving treatment concurrently. Care is continuous for 30-days from the date of entry, and can be extended into additional months as needed. Care is monitored 24-hours a day 7 days a week and guided by caring professionals. Although not as intensive as our residential program, participants are closely monitored 7 days a week. Monitored Work Release operates 7 days a week with 24-hour monitoring.

Chemical Dependency Partial Day Program (CDPHP & HALF DAY PHP)
Chemical Dependency Partial Day Program is a treatment program in which the client attends throughout the day. It is distinguished from residential treatment in that it offers a lesser restrictive environment by allowing the client to return home in the evening. Should outpatient program not provide enough structure we are prepared to move the client to this level. Full day partial program operates 2-6 times per week for 4.5 hours per day: Half day partial program operates 2-6 times per week 3 hours per day.

Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program (CDIOP)
Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Treatment is in our opinion the cornerstone for all chemical dependency treatment models. Whether attempting recovery for the first time or transitioning down from higher care levels such as CD residential, CDIOP is a mainstay of chemical dependency treatment.
Outpatient treatment is fundamentally sound because it is low cost, allows the client to participate for longer periods of time and keeps costs to a minimum. Outpatient treatment is a very efficient treatment for any alcohol or drug problem. The outpatient experience is intensified by use of specific program features. These features include regular random testing, 12-Step meeting attendance, sponsorship, close monitoring and follow-up, intervention, family treatment, and intensive program structure. Sessions run 2-6 times per week 1.5 to 2 hours per session.

Family Program
Family Program is just that, an opportunity for family members to participate in their own treatment. At Expedition House, family program is central to our treatment philosophy it is not an after thought. It is easy for treatment to focus only on the individual while ignoring the necessity for family involvement. Research in the treatment of chemical dependency strongly suggests that the chemically dependent individual affects an average of 7 people in their lives. The closer they are to family the greater the likelihood family is affected. With this in mind we spend a great deal of time involving family members in treatment. Family Program operates 1 time a week 1.5 hours. One group is for family members the other is multi-family.

Aftercare Program
Aftercare Program is a crucial component of a clients care. It ensures that skills learned in formal treatment are reinforced through practice in recovery. No treatment program is complete without some form of aftercare. It is a venue for trying on new skills finding out what works and what does not. Getting feedback from recovering peers, adjusting one’s life to accommodate sobriety, working with sponsorship, 12-Step and Home Group are integral to the recovery process. Aftercare program operates 1 time a week for 1.5 hours.

Positive Employee Toxicology Education (PETE)
Employers sometimes find themselves in the unenviable position of catching a well-thought-of and hard working employee in a positive drug screen. Often these employees have had no other problems like this and have been employed by the company for years. Often these employees insist they were not using alcohol or drugs.
The employer without other corroborating information is reluctant to label these individuals as chemically dependent but find they must address the positive toxicology in some satisfactory manner. PETE, our education program, can provide you with a solution. The employee enrolls in a 10-week program. The employee may not be chemically dependent, unless the formal assessment shows to the contrary. The client does not carry a diagnosis so participates in education rather than alcohol and drugs treatment. This program consists of an assessment and provides 10 weeks of education for your employee in the following areas:
- Medical model of chemical dependency
- Disease concept of chemical dependency
- Physiological and psychological effects of use
- Identification of signs and symptoms of problematic use
- Use of effective coping strategies
- Use of stress management techniques
- How to identify a person who has problems with alcohol or drugs
